In May, 2007, Kathy and I went to Chicago and met my brother Jim and his wife Ginny and stayed in my sister Anne's condominium on the lakefront for 5 days. It was great! Beautiful weather, a good time of rest, and we did some fun things together. We had time to take some walks along the lakefront, as well as up and down Michigan, called the Magnificent Mile: The view from the condo is spectacular, as you can see from the first four photos:
Part of our walk one day included a stop at the Field Museum of Natural History. It is a well-done museum with some amazing displays, particularly the dinosaur artifacts and the animal collection from around the world.
And we went to a baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. It was a fun time. Jim and I hadn't been to a game together for many years, and hadn't been to Wrigley Field for as many years. Being Cubs fans as kids, we were happy they won the game... :)
And we also stopped at the Art Institute of Chicago, well known around the world. What a great collection of paintings they have there.
