Retreat to Idyllwild Pines Christian Camp - September, 2007

Once again our church went on a retreat to Idyllwild Pines Christian Camp in Idyllwild, California. It was excellent in every way. It is so difficult to communicate how God works and blesses a group of people who set aside some time to be together away from all the busy-ness of routine life. God spoke to our hearts, He knit us together in a deeper way, He changed lives, He showed us more of His love and grace and reality. Oh, and we had great fun, too... great food... great weather.

Sandy and Beth Robertson were with us for the weekend. Sandy spoke from the scriptures and stirred our hearts to go after God and to realize that He really loves us, and even likes us! Sandy is pastor of New Covenant Church in Florida. Here is a photo of Sandy and Beth with Richard and Kathy Porowski of Resurrection Life Church.

It is always great to have some time set aside especially for the kids... well, us grown-ups had a great time, too! We played some Frisbee, tug-of-war, and some other games. You should have seen the fierceness of the competition! We had a Bible challenge at night around the campfire. It is good to sharpen our skills.

We had delicous food prepared by the Idyllwild Pines Christian Camp people. We also did some of our own, thanks to the likes of Robbie and others. Way to go!
