On December 15th our church had its annual Christmas Dinner. Christmas is a holiday that almost all of America and many places in the world celebrate. We see it as a great opportunity to gather together, enjoy one another's company, share the love of God with visitors and talk of the birth of Jesus and His purpose in coming into this world. The world is a cold and hard place to live in, but Jesus was born to deliver man out of the sin and heartache of life and bring him into the holiness and love of His life. Wonderful!!
This time our church had a "Christmas Challenge", a series of games that everyone had a really fun time being involved in. Here are a few photos ... :)
Since our church retreat in September, we have had a period of time settling into the school year and the fall season. We had the opportunity to play some softball one beautiful Sunday afternoon, as well as the usual opportunities to meet together for worship and having fun together afterward.
A few of us went to an air show in October down in Miramar, California. The weather wasn't too great at first, but began to clear up and gave us the opportunity for some spectacular views of the skies and the planes.
In November some of the brethren spent some time after the Sunday morning meeting preparing gifts for use by Samaritan's Purse for Christmas time.
